St. Anne Parish • Celebrating 125 Years + St. Anne School • Celebrating 120 Years

The Pre-Cana Marriage Preparation sessions are for engaged couples planning to be married in the Catholic Church.

The sessions provide both an overview of God's design for joy in marriage, and some practical skills for bringing this about. Opportunities are provided for each couple to reflect and discuss the topics raised during the sessions.

St. Anne offers the Pre-Cana Program in March of each year; attendance at both sessions is mandatory in order to fulfill the marriage instruction requirements.

2014 PRE-CANA DATES: Friday, Feb 28-Saturday, March 1

They are the "masterworks of God" in the new and everlasting covenant...         (CCC 1113; 1116)

Baptisms are celebrated on two Sundays of each month, by appointment.

A Pre-Baptism class is required, and is offered at various times of the year.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is an ongoing formational program that meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm - 9:00pm in the dePalma room, from September through May.
Individuals who are seeking Baptism and full initiation into the Catholic Church (catechumens), or those who are coming from another faith tradition seeking to complete their initiation (candidates), are invited to join.

The members of the RCIA team encourage the candidates and catechumens to continue conversion and "enter into a relationship with God in Christ." Culminating at the Easter Vigil, the catechumens and candidates are brought into full communion with the Catholic Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.

The Faith Formation Program coordinates sacramental preparation within the parish for Confirmation of both teens and Catholic adults.

Teens begin preparation for their confirmation in November of their 8th grade year.  Preparation lasts for approximately  one year and teens are confirmed in the fall of  their 9th grade year.  Preparation consists of a series of Sunday morning retreats, classroom work, and individual activities (an interview, letter writing, review questions etc.).

Adults who have been baptized Catholic, have received their First Eucharist, are active members of the Church (attending Mass regularly), and if they are married are in a valid sacramental marriage, but were never confirmed; may contact the Faith Formation Office for more information on Adult Confirmation classes.  These classes take place in the fall prior to the parish celebration of the sacrament and are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Our parish will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation for the Sacrament of Confirmation for both 9th grade teens and adults on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 7:00pm.  The Most Reverend William Winter, Retired Auxiliary Bishop will be present to administer the Sacrament.
