Faith Formation

Mission Statement

St. Anne Parish Faith Formation works in partnership with parents to provide a faith filled education. Through teaching students about Christianity, we attempt to help every child build a personal relationship with God and the Catholic Church.

Faith Formation Sessions for Kindergarten - 8th Grade:

    4:15 - 5:30 pm
    6:15 - 7:30 pm

In addition to our on-site catechetical programs, we offer parents the opportunity to teach religious education to their own children in the home through our Home Based Faith Formation program. This option is available in all grades. Parents who elect to utilize this program are provided the resources and materials to teach the faith formation curriculum to their children at home. A Home Group Program is also in place, which gathers a small number of children (average 6) for weekly catechesis in a home.

Both the Home Based and the Home Group Programs follow the traditional Faith Formation schedule and also require full participation in our parish formation gatherings such as the All-Saints celebration, Family Advent celebration, and Faith Formation Opening and Closing Masses.

Please contact the Religious Education Office for more information on our programs.

The Religious Education office is open during the following times when classes are in session:

Volunteers are needed!

We are in need of volunteers to share their time and faith with the nearly 370 children in the Religious Education Program. A catechist has a very important ministry in the church as a teacher of our children. Please give prayerful thought to this volunteer opportunity. If you feel led to volunteer as a catechist, assistant, or to help with administrative work, contact the Religious Education office at (412) 561-0101 or

All volunteers 18 years of age and older must complete the Diocesan Safe Environment requirements. More information about the requirements can be found on the Diocese of Pittsburgh's website. If you have any questions about clearances, please contact the Religious Education office.
