Eucharistic Ministers serve to distribute Communion at weekend and Holy Day Masses. In addition, ministers may serve on one of the Homebound teams, visiting homebound parish members, as well as several nursing homes in the area.
Lectors proclaim the Word of God through the reading of Scripture at weekend and Holy Day Masses. Youth Lectors (grades 7-12) begin their training by lecturing at the 8:00am weekday Masses.
Children age 4 through 1st Reconciliation are invited to participate in the Children's Liturgy of the Word, offered each Sunday at the 10:00 a.m. Mass. Children, as well as their adult catechists, gather after the Gathering Rite at Mass. The children return to the main assembly for Liturgy of the Eucharist. Please call the Faith Formation office for further information (412.539.0101).
The Adult Choir of Saint Anne Catholic Church consists of parishioners who love to praise God through music. The primary responsibility of the choir is to enhance the liturgy with music and to inspire all who gather to worship to join together in sung prayer. We also welcome any teenager who loves to sing to become a member of our Music Ministry family.
The choir sings at the 10:00AM Mass on Sunday mornings. The choir also sings for the holy days of Christmas, an annual Advent/Christmas concert, the Paschal Triduum, and concludes their season of singing around the celebration of Pentecost.
Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 7:00pm - 9:00pm in the church. For more information on joining please contact Brendan Lowery, Director of Pastoral Music at email@example.com.
