Experience the Seven Sacraments

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.
Ephesians 2:8

Experience the Sacraments

The Sacraments that we celebrate are each an outward sign of God's sanctifying grace on our souls. We experience them both physically and mystically. Through them, God imparts his divine grace which enters into our souls and transforms us, helping us to live a life that is pleasing to God so that we strive to spend eternity with him in heaven.

Baptism allows us to remove the stain of orginal sin in order to become a child of Christ. Contact our office to reserve a spot in our Baptism preparation classes and to schedule your child's Baptism at Saints Anne and Winifred Parish.

Congratulations on your engagement!

Couples wishing to enter the Sacrament of marriage must first take the Pre-Cana Marriage Course offered through our Faith Formation program. Prospective couples are asked to make arrangements at least six months prior to the wedding date. Weddings are scheduled on Saturdays at 1:30pm at Saint Anne Church and Saturdays at 2:00pm at Saint Winifred Church.

Confirmation takes place in the Fall of 9th Grade. All parochial, public, and home-schooled students who have not been confirmed should contact the our director of Faith Formation, Mathew Scruggs (412) 561-0101.

For adults, Confirmation takes place as part of the Rite of Chrisitian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).

Anointing of the Sick

Experience the healing touch of Christ through anointing. This ritual is celebrated annually during Mas for anyone who is seriously ill (physically or mentally), those facing serious surgery, those in chronic pain, and the elderly. This Sacrament may also be celebrated individually. If you or a loved one is in need of anointing, please call the parish office at (412) 531-5964.
